At the beginning of the high school soccer season, I contacted an elementary school counselor who contacted Laces of Love about a concern I had regarding a need for athletic shoes for Palmetto Ridge High School (PRHS) soccer players. Laces of Love made multiple generous donations to the soccer players of PRHS, and subsequently, donations were given to cover multiple sports at PRHS.
Laces of Love has met each request in a timely fashion and has enabled multiple athletes to participate in competitive contests.
Additionally, Laces of Love should be proud in that the leading scorers for the varsity boys’ and junior varsity boys’ teams were recipients of donations from Laces of Love.… Read the rest
Two years ago when I was in Naples, I read the article in the paper about your project. I could not shake off the wonder of it, so when I returned to Northern Minnesota I contacted some friends about this idea of giving shoes to the schools for children in need. They whole-heartily accepted the idea, and we began our journey into the shoe business. We borrowed some of your ideas that would help us implement a plan. We finally came up with name “The Shoe Ladies”. We now furnish 6 elementary schools and the entire Head Start Program with shoes to be distributed by the nurse. As we grew, the nurses were gently asking for more help, if we could. Now we also furnish socks, underwear, and sweatpants. The needs in the Head Start were … Read the rest
I am a social worker with the Lee County School District and received a special request for a particular type of shoe for a child need. This child has severe sensory issues and has trouble wearing shoes that do not irritate her. All I had to do was contact Dusti with Laces of Love and the special request was fulfilled.
When I gave the shoes to the child, her face lit-up completely. She was so happy to have a new pair of shoes and wears them daily with the same joy!
I, personally, would like to thank you so much for fulfilling that special request. These students often times get overlooked. You and your organization went above and beyond for this child! Thank you for all that you have done to bring some normalcy to … Read the rest

To Laces of Love
I cannot say thank you enough for what Laces of Love does to help the students and student athletes of Immokalee High School. I also cannot thank you enough for the amazing support you have given the wrestling season over the past couple of years. Without this support the wrestling program would have not grown like it has and I would not have been able to instill the values in the kids that participating in a sport provides. While the kids are very thankful for what Laces of Loves gives them I myself am more thankful for what you have given me the opportunity to do. The opportunity that you have given me is the chance to coach some of the best kids a coach could ask for. This year we … Read the rest
