This Sunday, March 8, at 7:00 PM will be a very exciting evening for Laces of Love! Tamra Nashman Richardt and FOX 4 Anchor Patrick Nolan will host a Benefit concert for Laces of Love. Tamra has devoted her time and musical talents to this concert for many years. There will be many professional musicians performing….and you are sure to recognize them: Dawn and Billy Birch, Bling, Lew Del Gatto, Kahlua and Cream: Dawn and Leslie Hale, and many more! Many years ago, I received an email from Tamra and she told me about a book she wrote called, “Shoes for the Spirit.” She sent me a copy of her book and told me that she wanted to help raise money for our charity. I read her wonderful book and we met for coffee. Tamra showed up in a beautiful tailored outfit of colors and I had on my jeans and sneakers! WE were a pair! We shared our stories with each other and I was touched by Tamra’s love of others and her spirit to help. We became friends very quickly, and Tamra often discussed her vision of a possible concert to help raise money for Laces of Love. WE prayed about it and the first Benefit Concert was amazing! I was blown away by the amazing talent in Naples! Tamra called together “Her musical Friends” and the Show was Wonderful! For the past few years, the Covenant Church has embraced this night with love. We are so grateful for the opportunity to share this night with the community of Naples. Please take time to come out this Sunday and watch a Show that will blow you away! We have some surprises planned as well for the night. I remember a few years back, Tamra told me that Lou Del Gatto was going to perform. I looked his name up and saw that he played in the Saturday night Live Band! Since I was a big Roseanne RoseannaDanna Fan, I could not wait to hear Lou perform. I was on stage early in the day, placing shoes for the set and arranging our Laces of Love banner. I ran into a nice short man with a beard….I assumed he was the sound guy…..we hit it off…and joked around. He became my little buddy in no time. When the show started that night, I was amazed as my little buddy was introduced as Lou Del Gatto! He brought the house down with his talent! Later I saw him after the show and said, “Hey, You did not tell me that you were the Big Wig!” He turned to me and tapped my shoulder and said, “YOU Never told me that you were the “Shoe Lady!” Come out and hear Lou and the others bring the house down. Be prepared to be amazed! It will be the Best Show in town…..I would bet my shoes on it!
